We were on location in Long Island City on a crisp and overcast, November afternoon
in the borough of Queens, New York, for Gotham News and Entertainment's Urban Art project with NYC-ASE's latest in-house model Kim Hernandez . This partnership is part of the vision of urban artist and photojournalist, M. 'Nitro' Nuri Shakoor. Kim was hand-picked by Nuri for this particular phase of the project to offer a preview of things to come in 2020, as featured models will be used for various creative collaborations throughout the city of New York. With Silver Cup and Kaufman Studios, Long Island City and Astoria in this part of the borough, you are offered a glimpse into a significant part of New York's visual art community. For those visiting NewYork City, you will find some of the most impressive views of Manhattan as well as iconic locations in what is now often referred to as "downtown Queens" in Astoria and Long Island City, particularly by Gantry Plaza, right on the East River. | To see Kim's full session with NYC-ASE log on to https://www.uabn-nyc.com/photojournalism .
