The film that represents France at the Oscars is selected by a committee organized under the auspices of the CNC and composed of seven persons. Fleur Pellerin has appointed three qualified persons to complete the committee: Michel Hazanavicius, director of "The Artist", which won five Oscars including Best Picture and Best Director in 2012, Nathalie Baye, actress, and Mélanie Laurent, actress and director . They join Thierry Fremaux, general delegate of the Cannes Film Festival, Alain Terzian, president of the Academy of Caesar, Jean-Paul Salomé, president of Unifrance and Serge Toubiana, president of the advances on revenues committee.
