It was confirmed that Oprah Winfrey will recur in the series 'Greenleaf' an upcoming American television drama series, created by Craig Wright ("Six Feet Under," "Lost"). It is produced for OWN by Lionsgate. Executive producers are Oprah Winfrey and Craig Wright. Clement Virgo will direct the pilot episode.
'Greenleaf' will take viewers into the unscrupulous world of the Greenleaf family and their sprawling Memphis megachurch, where scandalous secrets and lies are as numerous as the faithful.

Oprah Winfrey will play Mavis McCready, the sister of Lady Mae Greenleaf (Lynne Whitfield) and a close confidante of Grace Greenleaf (Merle Dandridge). The ensemble cast also includes Keith David, Lamman Rucker, Deborah Joy Winans, Tye White, Kim Hawthorne and Desiree Ross.
