During the span of the 22nd Conference of Parties, the 7th to 18th November, the Green Zone is where all the non-governmental parties are making their contributions and efforts in the fight against climate change. Side events, exhibitions, conferences, presentations and awareness campaigns, all these activities enable the sharing of knowledge and experiences, the opportunity to showcase best practices and the consolidation and launch of positive initiatives.-------------------------------- ONG, associations, universities, local collectives, research centres, public organisations, and private companies. COP22 wants to engage all the key players in climate action. More than 3000 entities will welcome more than 30 000 participants in 2 spaces, "Civil Society" and "Innovation and Solutions". The Civil Society space, which covers more than 12 000m2, puts the focus on knowledge exchange, with meeting spaces for civil society, academia, and local collectives to present and discuss their initiatives on the subject of climate change and the consequences. The Association Arkane, Morocco, for example, is organising an international exhibition on the theme of "World Art Coop Expressions", as well as the second edition of Arkane Africa, an exhibition dedicated to contemporary African art. This event, titled COP22, gives visitors the opportunity to discover works from numerous painters, photographers, engravers and sculptors. Another exhibition worth noting is "Photo for My Planet", supported by The National Council of Human Rights of Morocco (NCHR), which showcases images from professionals and amateurs to highlight efforts in the fight against climate change. The space - "Innovation and Solutions" showcases innovative solutions presented by key parties from the public sector, as well as universities, research bodies and private companies. The main objective is to raise awareness among the general public about climate change and steps that can be taken. Among the companies present are Masen, Danone, and others. The core idea of the Green Zone is that a different theme is represented each day, including youth, forests, water access, and agriculture. Source COP22
